Memories
What beautiful memories you have...............do you see moving there some day? Thanks for sharing it all with those of us who can't be there.

Not Moving ;-)
While Italy is fantastic, as are many other places...crazy as it may sound...California will always be the home of our heart and our real home.

Hi Jean & Cope
I'm glad you enjoyed visiting our little town. Unfortunately most people do opt for the long bus ride to Granada or Managua and they miss out on what San Juan has to offer. Not just the friendly locals, fresh seafood and pretty church that you mentioned above, but also the statue of Cristo de la Misericordia overlooking the bay (one of the largest in the world), the adventure park at the back of town which has views of Lake Nicaragua and the twin volcanoes of Ometepe, and luxurious resorts such as Pelican Eyes which offer cocktails and spa treatments for a fraction of the price that you'd find on your cruise ship. I hope that you'll come back and see more of the town, and if you do be sure to check out sanjuandeltour.com to make sure you don't miss anything.

Wine
It's Silvio Nardi Brunello Di Montalcino. But, of course, Italy is full of beautiful wines. Enjoy!

Beautiful
Beautiful, of course. Are you anywhere near or will you be visiting Montalcino? We have a favorite wine from there so it's of great interest to us.
23rd April 2016

Wine
Montalcino is about 30 km directly west of us. Unfortunately on this trip we will not be anywhere near as we opted for only walking and no car. What is the name of the wine you like?

Cartagena -- and Pienza
Loved reading your post about Cartagena. Our cruise in October stops there and there isn't much written about it. Enjoy your time in Pienza and drink lots of great wine.

Cartegena
Connie you will love it. It is small, friendly and you can do everything by just walking off the ship. You don't need a tour unless you want to go outside of the main city center. Just a guidebook.

Enjoy traveling with you
It is always pleasing to follow your blog. We just got back from Hawaii....miss our dinner conversations on the Sapphire Princess in Asia. Back to reading and checking out your pictures. Thanks for sharing.

3 countries
OK you had me baffled and I had to not only go look at a map knowing UK is quite far away from Span and Africa I had to read about Gibraltar and why it wasn't Spain's. Interesting!!

What a fab time
Isn't life just the best (when one is healthy of course) and you are doing it right! So many wonderful things happen in this glorious world that we never hear of so it is so good that you can describe it all to us in your bogs Jean, thank you for opening up this part of the world. Just about Cope having his credit card compromised, each time we have purchased travel insurance on line our card is compromised the day we leave for our trip but when we buy it by other means the card is never compromised!!!! love Trish xx

Sounds like fun!
Maybe you should invest in an HD camera and have Cope film you, and you guys could create a pilot to pitch to A&E. Call it,"Adventure Duo"!
