Vietnam, Mui Ne
Sunrise over the Mui Ne Sand Dunes Nat:
We got into Vietnam by bus (as always) from Cambodia on Sun the 1st, it took us about 6 hours and cost us about two pound each! The border crossing wasn't very nice as no one told us what we should be doing and everyone just looked like they didn't have a clue, it was quite funny apart from when one of the Vietnamese men was blowing kisses at me 😞 The bus took us into Saigon better known as Ho Chi Minh city, NAM!!! Which we thought was a bit similar to khoa San road but with a more of a relaxed atmosphere. We also found that Vietnam is alot more modern than Cambodia, it seems better off. The funny thing is though they don't seem as friendly and you would have thought that they would have been!
We booked into a small hotel, which wasn't too great but we decided to only stay two nights anyway so it wasn't too bad. Then once we were settled we decided to go to Saigon Water park, ohhhhhhhhhhhh it was ace!!!!!
We got a moterbike each to the park which cost us 50p each. I can't even
Vietnam, Mui Ne
Mui Ne Sand Dunes begin to explain the traffic, it's so hectic, mad, crazy, scary! There are no rules like in alot of the places in the world, well there are and it's beep like mad when your overtaking another vehicle. Like it or not they are overtaking. With moterbikes they just whizz in and out of traffic, i have never been so scared in my life lol It was soo exciting though.
The water park was huge with sooo many slides but we only had two hours in there because we got there quite late and it closed at six. It was the best water park ever lol
Anyway....... carrying on, the day after we went to the war museum as Nike REALLY wanted to check it out. It was a bit sad so i waited for him 😞
After we checked out the local shopping centre, it was cool! We played on arcade machines for a while and then went back and had some local cuisine 😊
So Tues the 3rd we headed over to Mui Ne beach, which was real nice too! We also got a bus here which took about 5/6 hours and just spent 3
nights here. We took a tour and went to the sand dunes. We had to get up at half 4 though, oh that killed me lol we watched the sun rise over the sand dunes, went sand sledding then walked down a stream to fine an amazing waterfall! The rest of the 3 days involved sunbathing and collecting lots of weird and cool shells lol.

After Mui Ne we caught a bus to Da Lat (yesterday), whuch has a totally different vibe to the rest of vietnam we have seen. Its up in the mountains so its alot cooler weatherwise and the views are amazing.
We met some really cool people on the bus, including 2 from selly oak, and another guy from handsworth, strange.
We are staying in the best hotel yet, it has 2 double beds, a balcony, cable tv, hot water and a fridge, best of all its clean, all for 4 quid a night. We explored the town with our friends we met on the bus, involving savouring some of the local delicasys from the market, all of which we had no idea what they were.
After we went for a
meal together, it was a great night, Nat was especially pleased with her choice of pizza and FAT chips!
The next day we arranged a trip into the countryside, altogether there was 7 of us and 7 moped drivers. It was a really good experience, seeing the local farmers and the produce, including 'magic' mushrooms, flowers and veggies. We also met a really old lady who owned a silk worm farm, who was definatly a character! The best part was definatly the elephant waterfalls and the 'crazy' house. It was a great tour, the guides/drivers were nice and it was just a really great day.
Later the plan is to hit a karaoke bar, should be fun (interesting may be a better word) and maybe have a few beers.
Miss you
Nike and Nat
