I wasn't quite game for these fried beasties.
Vietnamese people are so kind and curious. I went to the memorial for a guys dead grandparents who was working at the resort. my guide told me "you go party to honour, you change cloth, tidy hair."
we ended up walking half way across the meekong delta on a mud path which you couldn't walk at the edge because it was all rice paddies.

once we got there i got the normal

you have boyfriend?

A day later i had food poisoning from and feeling like hell the doctor and medicine cost me the princely sum of 50 cents.

However once the unpleasentness had ended the country is really beautiful and theres lots to see and do. Down on the border town near cambodia i was a real novelty. There are virtually no white tourists and everyone wants to watch what your up to. many older people stare and the young shout HELLO as you pass, some will even follow you as if to make sure you are real. People would touch my skin and hair and tell my how beautiful i was. It took me several encounters to

apparently you will get very strong?
figure out it was my nose that was being admired. apparently its very beautiful to have a large nose something i find particularly amusing.

However i think the attention can be a bit much in rural areas. But if you go into the city watch out for the roads 9 million bikes zipping everywhere.

Dog and cat don't taste bad, dog is more tender i think.
