Back to HCMC --- Last day 4 April 2012

And just to be sure more shopping, hair cut, manicure and pedicure and one last Vietnamese meal before heading to the airport.

This is my last blog for Far East Adventures - 3 Amigo's

We have had a very exciting time, seen so many interesting historical structures, spoken with many people, eaten some real crazy stuff, walked our legs off, climbed some very steep hills and monuments, slept on some very hard beds, travelled over near non existing roads, ridden some awsome little scooters, been for a swim in ocean water hot as bath water and drank many many many litres of water, beers and fruit smoothies.

There have been some very memorable moments (highlights) during our journey and we have enjoyed every country we visited, each very different in its own way.

There is a few things I would have to say we have learned while traveling around the Far East, and that is:

1) Never believe a picture that you have not taken, (many travel agents/ tour operators use glossy books or pictures) to sell there tour, just remember these are more than likely taken 20 years ago in their prime.

2) Stay at backpacker style accommodation and book your accommodation as you go through the internet (it works out cheaper and more friendlier)

3) Eat where you see the locals do and you will be asured to lessen the chances of getting sick (the food turn over is greater)

4) Wear comfortable shoes, plenty of sun cream and lose cotton clothing (summer time), take a one set of winter wear just for the colder areas

5) Travel is cheap when booked within the country you are touring (bus, flight, ferry, sleeper etc)

To all our friends that have followed our adventures, I hope it has inspired you to take off and discover another part of the world or even just in your own country. There is so much to see....
