The main cause that started the Vietnam War was that North Vietnam wanted to enforce communism towards the South so they could be united again. However, the South is allies with the United States which is a democratic government causing the South to reject the communist society. This caused the United States to get involved with the conflict which lead to the Vietnam War. In the end, North Vietnam won the war because of their guillera warfare tactics and having China supply the North with weapons because they have a communist society. The key points in the Vietnam War is that since the United States think they were so imperial in the world, they could do whatever they want to do. However, North Vietnam proved them wrong by beating South Vietnam and making the United States soldiers leave the area. The historical significance of the Vietnam War was that the communist has beaten a democratic society in war. Additionally, it proved that the U.S isn't as dominant as they think they are.
