she is 85 years old and has been making these mats since she was a young girl. With all of the middle men, she makes about 0.50 per mat. I bought a mat for $5, which was including the change. That way the money went directly to her.

It might be difficult to see, but just above the handle there is a waterline. That line marks how high the water flooded in 2009. When that happens, everyone goes on the roof, with their TVs.
