I've decided not to go into as much detail with this entry, as I think the pictures tell a better story than I do... This temple took 20 years to complete and was only finished after the emperor's death (they normally finished their own tombs before their death), and he became very unpopular with the Vietnamese people due the rise in tax during his reign - much of this money was spent on his tomb...

He did manage to produce one heir, though, with his second wife out of 6. But he ONLY had 10 concubines (not a lot compared to Tu Duc's 99 concubines...)

In Vietnam, women can do anything! They are so cool. Although, why it is mostly women who are garbage collectors, I don't know...
