bella on the beach!
the beach in Hue, where people took photos of us! through Nam!
Luke
traffic here on a not very busy day VIETNAM!!!!!!!!!>............
well on first arriving and the first couple of days i fell in love with the country it was so beautiful and so were the people!!
they have been the friendliest ive met, old or young they allways say hello.. and ask your name... and where your from... most of the time thats the best youll get out of the conversation! but it doesnt stop them inviting you to eat or drink with them!!
im sooo happy to finally see the sea again its awesome and the beaches are amazing! on the beach in Hue we were the only farrang (whites) so we got a lot of attention.. but it was fun!
we made some cool friends in brown eyes where we drank.. alot.. one night we stayed till 6 and then swam across a big river out the back..wont be doing that again..
vietnam is home to the craziest drivers in the world.. it has road signs markings and traffic lights.. but this is purley decoration.. they have one way of letting you know whats happening
if they want to go they honk the horn
if they want you
to move they honk there horn
if they want to cross a red light they honk there horn
if they see some one anywhere near the road they honk the horn
if the see a farrang they honk the horn
if they see just about anything they honk the horn
its is insecent and never stops... ever... ever...
on a two lane highway our bus over took two other busses while we could clearly see another two busses coming in our direction we made it of course but only just.. yeasterday i saw three bike crashes!
and ive never seen so many bikes in my life.. you can actually be on a round a bout at the same time as 8-900 bikes! and the bikes carry usaaly 2 - 5 people including whole families!
also seen has been 5ft sq glass, large wardrobe, two live pigs basicly anything goes..
when we started moving down south vietnam things started to change.. vietnam has more visitors from the rest of vietnam not traverls, only package tourists so it got very expensive and also the crime went up!
in one place Nah Trang
FLAG
hugs flag at the imperial city in Hue i had my wallet pickpocketed losing my cards.. which after i canceld them turned up at our hotel the next day???!! so i didnt feel so bad when we broke a fan and the lift.. we met peopel who had been robbed 2-3 times one with a taser!
now in siagon and the people selling books lighters and sunglasses is getting a bit much... they will stand next to you for 10 mins.. the worst is the 5 year old girls selling single packs of gum while there mum stands outside selling books..
i love vietnam but my time here has been made not so enjoyable by 20 people ive had to meet along the way.. i cant wait to get to cambodia!
oh yeh the war museum was cool if not very sad once you got past the tanks and onto the burning children from american defoliants like agent orange and napalm which still affects people you can see here today stunted and malformed..
but to leave on a light note everones still with us, not to ill and were about to head to cambodia which will be insane!!
happy
ACK ACK!!
