In late October my mum came to visit me in Singapore. She spent a few days in the city with me and then, on 29th October, we headed off for a two week trip to Vietnam. I started this blog in late 2007, before heading off to Australia for a hang gliding adventure. After my first solo flight in a hang glider all I wanted to do was fly as much as possible. I gave up my job as a human resources consultant and headed to Australia to live my dream of hang gliding. Ninh Binh: Mum on her bike

We went cycling along small roads and got a nice impression of the landscape and the way people live there.

Ninh Binh: Dry Halong Bay

The rock formations are the same as in Halong Bay, but the rocks are not in the sea, but on the main land, surrounded by rice paddies.

People in the area are farmers or fishermen. The lady in the picture here is fishing.
