We left Hoi An and headed to Hue, it was very hot there (nearly unbearable). Hue is home to the perfume river so we took a tour along the river and visited some royal tombs and temples. We also met a couple of people that we met at the tunnels on the tour so we hung out with them at the Why not bar in the evening. There are so many Why not bars/hotels etc, i think i may have to get the tshirt if i can actually find one. We then travelled on the over night bus to Hanoi (capital). We spoke to a couple of children at the bus stop along the way. I think they were practising their english. They spoke english very well. They asked what languages i spoke and I had to admit that I only knew one language. I will be making an effort not to be so lazy with learning languages when i get back. We also met a american girl on the bus and got a taxi with her into the city centre. We were ripped off despite trying to argue with the taxi driver. Veitnam is so beautiful but it is spolit slightly by the amount of people that lie about prices etc and try and rip you off. Its to be expected slightly but I did not experience it to such an extreme in thailand or cambodia (cambodia having a higher level of poverty). It gets to me a bit when im tired and really hot but i have learnt how to say no in vietnamese and they normally back off. Winge over. Leanne and i have booked a boat tour for tomorrow that will take us to Ha long Bay 'descending dragon bay' (UNESCO world heritage site) and Ca Bat Island. Its a hard life
