Spent a day in Singapore. Its a crazy city. Half western, half eastern. Asia is so warm and humid. Vietnam is even madder. Cars and bikes everywhere. They do not seem to have a highway code. Its almost impossible to cross the road but when you do there are 20p beers to be had, so its worth it. To escape the mania we went on a relaxing cruise to Ha Long bay.... Read Full Entry

This is where the emporers of Vietnam used to live. It has been half destroyed by wars and the weather.

One of the emporers insisted that each meal had to have 50 dishes, made by 50 different chefs, served by 50 different waiters and his morning tea was to be made by the dew that had formed over night on the palace leaves. Fussy man.
