Ha Long Bay (Vin Ha Long) is quite simply, the most incredible natural environment I have ever seen. The name means 'Dragon Descending'. The name originates from a local legend of the celestial dragon and her offspring, who were ordered by the Jade Emperor to halt an invasion from the sea. The dragons spewed out bits of jade that turned into the islands of Ha Long Bay. There are about 1600 limestone islets in the bay, many without names. The following photos include the visit to the island of Tuan Chau and the massive limestone cave on the island.
