One of the stops along the way from Bukhara to Samarkand was a Yurt camp where we had the opportunity to go for a camel ride. Having gone for a camel ride in Mauritania we were a little nervous since we knew what to expect. The deciding factor was that these were the two hump camels which were different than the other camels we’ve seen. This is the first time we’ve come across the camels with two humps here in Central Asia. Now we can say that we’ve ridden both types. These camels were much more comfortable to ride and had a really nice demeanour.

Hi! Welcome to our travelblog page. We initally called ourselves "AfricaBound" because we spent a year traveling around Africa from August 2007 to August 2008. At that time, little did we even think that we could go on another extended trip.
