It's been already almost two weeks since the wedding ... time flies when ur having fun ... however as you
probably already know the journey i decided to take wasn't about the wedding, however to find and conquer
back some inner peace and quiet ... however this was a little hard with the bride and groom and their 17
friends / family and the two boys ... when i arrived i think we were 10or 11 people and every day new people
arrived up till the day before the wedding when 2 of Daniel's oldest friends Martin and David arrived as a
surprise (they had told him they had no money, no time, that they couldn't come (i was even bitching and
moaning about them, that i couldn't believe they weren't present...), so this was a REAL surprise to the
groom and the rest of us ... i was to leave the island right after the wedding, however i decided to stay
another week ... the days after the wedding, people started to leave and/or pick up their own travels (most of
those attending planned either a journey before or thereafter)... even Daniel and Tanja
left 3 days later ... by
midweek i was left with 4 others whom were staying on the south side of the island, however we kept on
meeting for dinner, hikes in the jungle and just to hang out ... as much as i've enjoyed this i realized that my
fuse is still very short and could not find my rest ... not that i'm complaining ... i wouldn't have missed it in
the world ... first i had some bonding time with Martin and David whom i've known since they were little boys,
and now they had grown into these VERY soulful young handsoe studs ... we ventured into the jungle with
difficulty up a waterfall ... it was great to witness David, whom had never been at a tropical waterfall, and alone
already observing him in some kind of a trance was worth the dangerous slipping and sliding rocks ... to then
discover there was a path next to the waterfall ... not that it made it much easier, however it was sturdy
ground instead of dealing with the rushing water ... on my way down i tried to be very much in the
moment,
step by step, swinging and holding on from one tree to another as to make sure i wasn't gonna hurt myself
(my rib fiasco on the boat was still bothering mi lots ... as did my other bruises and scratches still left from
my monkey related bike accident) ... guess i couldn't be more Zen as i really was just living in the now.
Miraculously i made it down in one piece and was quite relieved ... unfortunately i didn't see Martin anymore
before he left the island, however i did get to spend some REAL quality soulful and philosophical times with
David who picked up his new interest Thai Boxing ... he told me that his 'master' had mentioned that every
physical pain released is a release of weakness ... hmmmm, no wonder i keep on hurting myself, i don't
think I've ever felt as weak as i did last fall and winter ... (thank goodness my winter was short :-) ,,,
haven't figured out why the injuries and pains have all been on my left side, think will come to that one day
. theft side, think will come
to that one day ... there are SO many things which has impressed mi about this
young man, he's a walking contradiction ... for the past 6 years he's been making his living with poker in
cyberspaceen making his living with poker in cyberspace, however i can't recall the last time i met someone
who is so strategic, so logical but at the same time so soulful ... (except mi of course ... hahaha) ... anyway
besides many a shared nice thought i learned from him about professor Emoto who has managed to freeze
drops of water and while doing this shared thoughts and ideas of good and evil, f***ing amazing, ...
for those of you who don't know about Emoto, please PLEASE check it out on the internet, it'll blow ya away .
.. ok enough about David ... 3 other remained on the island, Bo also a dear old friend of mi nephew, whom
beside his also newly found interest in thai boxing was the one whom seem to be most into the party scene
and thus spend some really good times with ... and then there were Marion and
Liza ... Marion i already
somewhat bonded with on my trip to the national marine park, however we spend some dinners together
and i really do think i've gained a new friend with her ... once everyone left she had moved in with Liza
(also one of Tanja's youth friends) and the three of us really hit it off, we had dinner together, hang out
and just shared things about life, the world and everything else ... the 5 of us spend the Full Moon party
together however this is to be read in the blog solely dedicated to this ...
