Gruel with an Egg

We got up and went to have a look around the town. We went to lots of shops and visited 'Jung Ceylon' shopping centre, which had all sorts of wierd and wonderful things. It was also the home of the creator of the Alien, and Predator scrap metal models that I have seen dotted everywhere from Ban Amphur to Venice Beach.
Laura made us a nice snack for dinner and we watched some thai television.
Later in the evening we went out and tasted some local food. We met a French chap who was married to a Thai lady of the stall, and he recommended chicken rice soup with sprinkled veg and an egg. Sounded good so we went for it. It looked like out of date gruel, not good! Once we got past the way it looked it was actually rather tasty.
