These things are everywhere of course but do make good photos.

Night dives are pretty boring, but at least the fish stop swimming to pose for photos.

I was shooting the crab, but the critter ended up spoiling a perfectly good design for a Korean's Hawaiian shirt.

We saw a few sharks - grey tip reef, leopard and grey nurse - but most were too timid to stick around long. This guy's about a metre and a half.

It's usually pretty hard to find these guys but this one didn't quite have his camoflage worked out.

Octopussy

This is a typical brown octopus who decided to change colours a few times to make the photo interesting. She's a beauty.

These guys are everywhere in the Similans. If you don't see five on a dive you were probably swimming upside down the whole time looking for mantas.

Critters galore

Nothing special about these guys except how many there were. On the night dive we saw literally hundreds.

Cleaner shrimps are everywhere, but these guys are a little different in that they specialize in oral hygene. It was a weird feeling having a couple of crabs crawl around my mouth picking off the bits of curry I was saving for after the dive.

One treat on the night dive is that you get to see the dorises and nudibranches (colourful sea slugs) swimming around. I'll change the image title when I recall the name.

Just like the parots above the water.

Again, very photogenic and very common in the Similans. This young one decided to pose on mountain coral with a few christmas tree worms to set off his colours.

We found Nemo. It took Rick about fifty snaps to finally get a good one though.

Hiding from the current

We had a lot of current on the last dive, so I spent a fair bit of time hiding rocks and ledges, which was where most of the reef fish seemed to be hiding as well.

I've no idea what this blue thing is. If you know, please tell me:)

These guys are like slow VW beetles and have a cute smile.
