Thailand - Phuket
Not quite done yet Nike:
When we last left you we were on our way to bangkok...
Well we got to the bus station in desperate need of food, so we headed to a street stall and tucked into some duck and noodles. Before long a thai man came over (who looked just like my uncle tony!) and we had a long conversation about nothing, i think it may have been our lack of thai and his lack of ANY english) but before long he had offered us a place to stay and paid for our meals. If this happened in england it would be dodgy, but in thailand this was just another very friendly local, unfortunatly we had to decline his offer because he lived far out of town. After a day of walking around thailand and a bit of shopping in the mbk (where we watched spidey3) we headed down to phuket on the nighttrain.
The nightrain started with us realising we were the only westerners in 3rd class, all the ithers were in 1st and 2nd, feeling slightly proud we knew this would be a good trip, and it was, despite no sleep at all, a dodgy seat
Thailand - Phuket
Nike and his yet to be masterpiece! that kept on falling from underneath us the friendly locals offering us food and lots of smiles made it worth it. So around 17 hours later, after a bus and a train ride we hit Phuket.
Phuket had a pretty big reputation as a party town, however at our beach it seemed to translate as a place with lots of prostitutes and fat english old men drowling over them. But we had a cool time, the beach was nice, i made plenty of sandcastles, we found an english pub that did egg chips and beans and best of all we saw a baby elephant!!!!!
We had like 3 weeks left and our budget was looking pretty bad, we got plenty for australia, but asia....so we decided that we would just stay on the island of Koh Samui, on the quiet beach of Mae Nam and just chill out, read, swim, suntan....for 3 weeks, poor us yeah?
We have had an amazing time!! Nat has turned into a wildlife photographer, we have discovered a really cool german restuarant that has the best german sausages and shows english dvds, everyone knows us, we have made some cool kung fu

Nike and his masterpiece, it took him hours but he got there! films with nats mc hammer trousers and our camera, almost got attacked by a tarantula, found a cool temple with a great market and weird dancing shows and just pretty much chilled by our hotels pool and beach....its hard work budgeting!!
So that was it for asia, we had an amazing time. But now its time to hit australia in 3days, so light the barbie and grab a fosters our next blog will be from sunny sydney!!!
