After my marathon of sleep I woke up with sore legs from climbing the many steps up to the tiger temple on Saturday. So, popping out to buy a tub of tiger balm before starting my day was a must. Booking myself on the 10.30 boat to KO phi phi I had a bit of time for some breakfast first. Being driven 10 minutes to the port and after a 2hr boat ride I had arrived. Ko phi phi is a large island - but most of it being completely inaccessible with huge limestone cliffs and dense forest. The island would be 2 islands if it not for the narrow isthmus that connects the 2 parts. This part is crammed with shops, restaurants, hotels etc and it quite small - easily walk around it in an hour - with a beach on each side. Finding a cheap hostel - a bit grubby but fine for 2 nights I was just so pleased to be able to put my bag down! Heading back out into the intense heat of the day I had a walk around and booked a boat tour for tomorrow. Stocking up on a few necessity's I walked back to the hostel and chilled out for the remainder of the evening.
