we are back in koh lanta where we spent 3 months last year, something about this island what draws you back, the friendliness of the people or the laid back atmosphere i dont know but there is something about this island,
After travalling for the best part of 11 months its good to be still for a while and not live out of our bags and not be planning our next mode of transport,
we are in an apartment with kitchen and most of mod cons , finally we can cook our own food
My good friend from uk showed up last week to celebrate my 50th birthday, we rented tuk tuk for a couple of days and trimmed it up with balloons etc and went to the beach had photos with elephants and did a bit of kayaking then hired a couple of scooters and toured the island
The first couple of weeks the weather was baking hot but now its gone a littke pear shaped it dont rain in march the locals say but hey its raining now and has been for a week
i hope it does calm down as we have offer of free accomadation in

may but its not much fun in the rain we need yet another visa so not sure where to get it as we have quite a few visas and extensions dont know why the thais make it so akward to stay here any lengh of time.
Joey my monkey friend has now moved to a sanctuary near bangkok so no more walks on the beach with him,
so lets see what the next month brings onward and upward

Belated happy birthday
Happy birthday Jez, good to see Steve made it out there. I liked the video of crossing the road, maybe the roads here will be that bad soon. Lost your website address, motherboard conked and lost access to hard drive. Going again now but took me a while to find all the web stuff. Vietnam, Cambodia certainly getting about. Keep safe, I'll try to keep in touch. David
