I'd heard good reports about Ko Lanta from previous blogs and guide books and I was not disappointed. Its much bigger than Ko Jum and lots to do including elephant trekking, cave exporlation and diving/snorkling to name a few. I stayed at Khlong Khong bungalows on Hat Khlong Khong beach which were charging 400 Bhat per night and it was close to all the chill out bars along the beach including the fab FMCK beach club bar. Had some great nights there and met loads of other travellers and people on holiday including Heiki from Stuttgart, Mike from Dublin and Roger/Kirsyn from London. The staff there (Kune, Tong) are also really good fun and they go out of their way to look after you. The elephant trekking was a new experience and a bit strange to be honest. Good fun to start with but then got a bit boring after 30 minutes of trying not to fall off and watching the elephant in front do lots of poos!! The caves were much better but very hot, dirty and dark. The sunsets were particularly spectacular here! Following recommendations from nearly everyone the next stop on the map was Ko Lipe - a
