Julia Bathing with Elephants at the Anantara Resort at the Golden triangle. On our last day in Northern Thailand, following a visit to the fantastic Opium Museum (more on another blog) we got back to the hotel to what turned out to be the highlight of the whole holiday for Julia. We took a buggie down to the river and then as the elephants arrived, Julia asked if She could join in with the bathing. At that time only 5-6 elephants were in the river, but after only a few minutes more than 20 elephants were in the river at the same time as Julia. A magnificent sight them all enjoying themselves and the younger ones squirting Juia with Water. A marvellous 45 minutes.
