Got a VIP vus from Chaing Mai to Chaing Rai, this was a comfortable four hour drive on the best coach I've ever been on. The coach had a cabin crew who brought round drinks and food, and cost us about 4 quid.
Only stayed in Chaing Rai for one night but stayed at a place called Garden House recommended by Lonely Planet but we couldn't see why. Neal and I shared a massive double bed, it had hideous deers heads on the wall, the shower didn't work, geckos on the wall, and when you turned the sink tap in it, it just flooded the bathroom floor. What do you expect for 1.50 a night!!!

Went for a pizzu hut to escape more rice and noodles and followed that up with a traditional thai massage, which was amusing, there were times that the two of us plus to two masseurs were in fits of laughter but knowone quite knew what we were laughing. This was certainly the best massage I'd had since arriving in Thailand, painful at times but I felt like a new man afterwards!!
