let's go
Jasper getting kitted up We were all keen to get moving this morning as we were so excited about what we'd planned to do....The Flight of the Gibbon zipline adventure! We were collected from our guesthouse by minivan and driven an hour away into dense mountain rainforest. The scenery was absolutely stunning and the location felt quite remote despite it's proximity to Chiang Mai. After being fitted with harnesses and helmets we were introduced to our guides, Mouse and A, and given a full safety briefing. Our group comprised of 2 Dutch couples, an Aussie guy from Melbourne, and the 4 of us. Jasper and Phoebe were the only kids . We spent the entire day flying through the jungle canopy, hundreds of metres above the ground, soaring from platform to platform on huge ziplines, all the while surrounded by incredible mountain scenery! Exhilarating doesn't even begin to describe it! The guides were fantastic and we felt totally safe. The kids were in their element and impressed everyone with their bravery and enthusiasm. Any fears we had of Phoebe being afraid soon disappeared...in fact it was like a walk in the park for her as you can see from the photos.
no fear
Phoebe, our flying rag doll A great day...masses of fun, rushes of adrenaline, a once in a lifetime experience and definitely a highlight of our trip so far. I'll let the photos speak for themselves....
