Months ago Liam found Flight of the Gibbons, and this is the one thing he really wanted to do, so today is the day. They picked us up from our accommodation in a really nice van, then drove us for about an hour. We arrived and could not believe the number of vans and people. These guys must make a fortune.

Well, it appeared to be a complete shambles, no one seems to know what they are doing and no one seems to be in charge. Great, we are swinging 50 metres above ground through the trees like gibbons with a bunch of guys that cant even get organised on the ground.

They fed us, a good red curry and stir fried vegetable, then more utter disorganisation, then fitted with harnesses and back in the van. Christine's ready to start telling them all off, Corry is wanting his money back, and I am pleased I enjoyed my last meal and wondering if they will send our bodies home.

Anyway, our two guides started our safety talk, and for the first time I started to regain some confidence. They hooked us up, and sent us across the first cable. They even sent Harry on his own. The next two hours was tree to tree, across rope bridges, and abseiling down ropes.

It was really well done once we were at the trees, and everyone loved it. It was about 2km through the trees. There are no gibbons, I don't think there would be with that many people, but a nice environment.

Our driver stopped at the market for us to get some dinner, but most things were finished, so we grabbed some bits and pieces that were still there and headed home.
