Forrest of Wisdom
All the quotes in this blog were taken from the grounds of Wat U Mong. There is a forrest where every tree contains a nugget of wisdom, but attached to nearly every other tree on the property there are inspirational quotes not only for the monks, but for the visitors as well...
Holy Elephant!
These trunkers were minatures that stood no more than 3 inches from the ground and were situated in a sea of statues devoted to Buddha...
Orange Cloth
This is the main "temple" on the grounds. The orange cloth that is wrapped around the spire is considered untouchable once tied by a monk. This is a useful way to save trees (no joke) and old monuments because its considered a desicration to buddha to unwrap the cloth. Notice the green inspirational quote attached to the tree...
Something smart that I should have thought of before...
