On Saturday, we sampled some delicious Pad Thai from a street stall on Khao San Road (despite my dodgy tummy), and Edithe was coaxed into having her 'future' read down a side alley by one of many Indian guys stalking the street. Of course, she wasn't silly enough to pay for the 'services', so she left, not knowing what her future holds.

Next, we heeded over to the aquarium. I love aquariums, but since my shark dive in Busan Aquarium (Korea), they'll never hold the same allure. You just can't beat being on the same side of the glass as the sharks.

Collecting our baggage from the hostel, we made our way to the train station for our pre-booked 18:10 train to Chiang Mai. Unfortunately, all the first-class sleepers were sold out, so we had to settle for second. First world problems, eh?

For 1672 Baht, the journey was not bad at all. The beds were comfortable and well-sized, the bed-clothes fresh and clean, and the food good. I had chicken with cashew nuts, rice, duck red curry, soup and pineapple juice for 160 Baht. When we were ready to sleep, the attendant converted our seats into beds. I didn't have the best night's sleep, but it was far better than I had expected.
