So coming late to the blog scene I have transcribed verbatim the mail updates I had been sending. If you were unlucky enough to receive this first time round, you know the score so perhaps Questions & Answers will be on and you can check that out instead...

Photos are on their way - have patience...

well after my week out of work where i chilled out at home and did some farming, i bade farewell to the fam, grabbed my napsack and boarded the plane to heathrow- where i caught up with an ole friend (hey Orlaith - cheers for coming all the way out for a beer ;-))))) ) then went on my merry way to thailand via a BA overnight. the 11 hr flight was not bad at all -
which was unusual though nice!!

bangkok was quite a cool place, though is very tourist oriented. Not one to break tradition, we landed ourselves in the temple bar area of bangkok - the khao san road - to explore from... took a few days out to recover from the flight and generally chill out -

saw some thai boxing, buddha temples, the royal palace, the national museum,
and this "golden mount" in the middle of the city - which is another buddha shrine though when you get to the top the view is magnificient - panoramic city vista - v cool!

We happened upon a ping pong show, along with razor blades and girls lathering in champagne glasses!!! which was weird to say the least - sooooooooooo graham norton!!!!!

went for a plush meal out - totally by accident - the taxi driver drove us into the resturant foyer - and we hand picked the "fresh" fish we were to eat. Nice meal though it came to 25euro each which was a tad expensive by thai standards!!!
ended up in this uber cool club called the bed supperclub - word!
also if youre passing check out tapas bar in pat pong - bongos & percussion
for the punters use - nice!!

left bangkok monday and took a bus over the border to cambodia. it's so much nicer here than bangkok. the people are amazing here especially given their recent brutal history. spent some days at angkor wat in siem reap - amazing.
went to a war museum - our guide was a vet who was shot numerous times, shrapnel all over his body, blind in one eye, prosthetic leg; and his wife was blown up by a landmine - very sobering. just arrived in the capital
phnom penh this evening - heading to the killing fields tomorrow - should be very interesting and disturbing.

then were off down south to the costa del cambodia to chill out on some
beaches

anyway best head here, as vashti bunyan would say "i want to be the one with
road dust on my boots" - so off i go....
