Day 23 travel from Siem Reap to Bangkok - Tonle Sap and flight to Bangkok

This was our last day in Siem Reap and Cambodia. We spent the morning visiting a floating village on the lake Tonle Sap and souvenier shopping at Artisans d'Angkor, an authentic Cambodian workshop for woodwork, silver plating and miniature painting.

We then flew out to Bangkok, which was a short 1 hour jaunt from Siem Reap. Initial impressions of Bangkok (outside of being just as warm as Siem Reap) - great international airport, traffic much more organized than Vietnam and Cambodia, and an interesting play between the traditional (city ~200-250 years old) and modern.

Meatless travelers

We are management consultants from San Francisco. We travel a whole lot for work, but that is nowhere near as much fun as traveling together to countries we have always wanted to visit. We embarked on a 3 month trip around the Asia Pacific in 2012, and used this blog to post pictures and (some) comments for friends and family that want to follow our travels, including our 2-3 week trip around India in an auto-rickshaw!
