Well we arrived in Bangkok at 3pm, the plane journey was totally different to all our other flights weve been on, in a good way though. TV, complimentary goods and tv and movies on demand what more could you ask for with a flight!
In our taxi on the way to our hostel, we got stuck in bangkok rush hour which beats any rush hour by far, we were static at one point for TWO HOURS!! Horrible!
We went out that night for a meal and then straight to bed as we were shattered. We both woke up at 1am wide awake and sat talking until we drifted off again a couple of hours later.
Second day, was little unusual, we went to see some temples after being persuaded by a local that the palace was shut. so we hopped in a tuk tuk and on our way to the Wats. During our journey we saw a dead tramp being escorted into a ambulance (this knocked Natalie sick a little) before heading back to the hostel.
At night we went back to Khao San Road for a meal (which by the way goes two ways, extremely nice
or a bit off putting). the smells in Bangkok are something we am not going to miss. Our hostel is very nice and clean and the staff are very friendly.
The same night Chris tried a grasshopper but got one leg into his mouth and bottled it. He might work his way up from flies. We have an overnight train tonight to chaing Mai so we will let you know how that gets on.
