Where we'll be going!
Just to let you all know we've arrived safely.

Wednesday night was like Christmas Eve, hardly slept a wink with excitment! Got up early doors to make me and Joey our packed lunches for the bus down, the skittles were a particular treat! Bus down was comfortable and spacious, just like on the adverts. Got to airport in plenty of time but were told when checking in that if we didn't have flights out of Thailand booked then we wouldn't be allowed in to the country. Queue us running to the nearest internet cafe and booking flights. Flight was good, plenty of turbulance that kept me and Joey on our toes! Don't worry though, I had a cross in my pocket (thanks Mum) so we knew everything would be just fine!

Taxi from airport to hotel consisted of us being told the life story of both the taxi driver and the kings of Thailand! Bangkok has only been the capital since 1782 don't you know. No, we didn't care either. We eventually got to the hotel and in broken English were told that a room wasn't quite ready so a pint's wait later, we were upgraded for free to a deluxe suite (check out the photos). Good times. Glad it's got air conditioning because it's 33dg in the day and about 25dg at night! Us white boys don't know what's hit us!

Anyway, had a good first night out in the local area. Plenty of cheap pints and friendly people. Going to watch the rugby and football in the pub now. Hope you're all well. Keep in touch.

PK & JW x

Beer, bar, football and rugby.. you're still in UK aren't you?
Greetings from Dublin... almost half way around the world, but you can't get the Brit out of the British. But no worries you'll be eating dog, crickets and live monkey brains in no time. Be careful of the "ladymen" or "ladyboys", after a couple of beers you might not be able to tell the difference... well you will, but by then it'll be a bit late. Was the cross blessed? If not, don't put too much faith in it... DHL it back and get Teresa to get the honours done oh yes, and let's see if you're in deluxe rooms in 3 months ! Cheers and enjoy

Glad to hear that you have arrived safely and settled in. I doubt you will have such luxurious accommodation regularly but it must have been a good way to start off your journey in foreign climes. Keep in touch Pete

Can't believe you've already seen Ray Charles on your travels. Looks quality boys to be fair. By the time of the next blog I expect joey to have his "Make a wish" foundation hair do fully underway.
