For people who hassle me when I don’t post a blog for a week - this is because I mainly write my blogs during long train/bus/ferry trips. This one is being written in a bus from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi, which isn’t far, but that’s a story for the next blog. UPDATE (April 2013) This site was the blog I kept for my long-term travels, mainly through Asia, in 2009-2010. I'm not maintaining it any more. Canal

A small [i]khlong[/i] (canal) out in the suburbs, near the Chinese embassy, not all of Bangkok is neat and affluent yet.

Traffic

and it's not even really rush hour yet (at about 16:00, out near the Chinese Embassy)

JTC

Sculpture outside the JTC building

Some ancient (Brahmanist?) sculpture at the National Museum. You're not allowed to take photos of the exhibits, so I don't have more photos.

Bikes

I'm not quite sure what the story is with these bikes. I think they can be hired and returned along fixed routes in the city centre.

Looking across Sanam Luang park to the Grand Palace. I went to the Grand Palace last year, photos on my facebook profile (for my "friends").
