Arrived on 21 april and getting off the plane it was like getting into a sauna, Guernsey was hot, London was not but Bangkok!!!! anyway i had bought Hannah two bottles of some posh champagne (the name escapes me) which feeling rather chuffed with myself as it was cheaper in Guernsey than the duty free shops in the airport, only to be greeted by imigration who announced that i could only take one bottle into Thailand,(now not such a good deal).
1st day here P&H introduced the cultural stereo type that bangkok is famous for, meal in an irish theme pub, stole down night market and a ping pong action show also Thai Elvis (who rocked).
on sunday, after a lazy start from me, the other two were very patient, quick drive around
and then what i would recomend to any traveller, a two and an half hour all over body massage, perfect had to chill that hole afternoon but it was great and those little aches and pains just disapeared.
monday, early-ish start taxi into see the golden palace, emerald buddah and khao san, for some all important souverniers for a very loverly wife. i sure i'm not the first or last that would have a storey to tell about Tuk Tuk drivers but lets just say when he finally did what i asked he driving changed to what can only be described as super sonic night bus style (harry potter fans note). oh yer taxi crashed on way back, no one injured but lots of skid marks!!!!!!
In the evening a proper Thai banquet again thanks to P&H, sitting next to a loverly fish tank which after ordering i realised was our dinner!!! yes caught in a net and served ten minutes later!!!!
fantastic but i'm glad that we ordered mild as it cleared any noses that were blocked.
all that food for about £6 per head inclusive tip and drinks.
Going to catch my flight now to NZ, sorry no pictures yet will but them on asap.
