the monster requires 1000 cookies to be delivered in a brown paper bag to the khao san rd or you'll never see the arm band again.
And so it begins, hopefully this being the first of many blogs from our adventures around the world. well first of all it wasn't a bad flight got some sleep watched a couple of movies and we got our first break from each other being seated apart from each other on the flight i got a scotish bloke and couple of drunks and el got an ugly old dude who snored through the whole flight. As soon as we got of the plane we meet our first fellow backpacker pete from sweden looking to share a taxi, as i happened we were heading in the same direction to the khao san road so we all jumped in a cab and split the fare. so cheap 1 hr taxi ride cost £6.50. had fun looking for our hostel once we got out just getting our bearings took us a while to work out which way we where facing and how to get where we wanted to go, asked a couple of friendly tuk-tuk drivers and they pointed us in teh right direction. our room is very nice, clean with air conditioning and satterlite tv in the room. i ended up staying up to beat my jet lag by watching the premiership on espn till 11, el passed out a long time before. we slept in till about 10 then went for breakfast and a little wander around the local area, so many people coming up to us offering t-shirts, food, taxis, tuk-tuks gets really tireing saying no and shaking your head in this place, so much so that i eventually gave in when one tuk-tuk driver offered us a sight seeing tour for 5 baht (about 7p) i just thought what have i got to lose offer than an hour or 2 so we just did he took us to the sitting buddha, the lucky buddah and golden mountain where i got some photos looking out over the city, he then also took us to a couple of tailors and a travel agency which how he makes his real money, he gets a commission for putting people through the doors, he did explain this all to us so i was quite happy to walk in have a look around a just say no to all the salesmen, at least he made some money out of it. He dropped us back at our hostel where i'm now writtng this blog.

P.S sorry bhav it had to be done.

courier over some mango smoothies plsssssss
WOW! Fab to hear from you and to imagine you browsing all that Khao San has to offer.. the fresh fruit smoothies are excellent! If you want a less freshly made but thirst quenching alternative, enter one of the 7-11s and go for a jasmine drink with honey (in green bottles). They're scrumptious and cheap (and chilled!). Also, yakhults are mega cheap - something I never buy here as they're expensivo. Glad to hear you're starting as you mean to go on ie roughing it (maincure, massage, pedicure.. ;o). Am organising some ice skating this end so with any luck we'll have some photos to share with you too! ENJOY! Alia xxx

Hello Sunshine
we are all missing you lots. Glad you got to see the football, did you get the England Holland score? It was 1-1. How did you manage to say no to everything. I only went out for water in Tunisia and ended up with a huge cloak. Is everything as cheap as you thought it would be? If you do this blog thing regularly we will be very happy. I will print this of for El's Mum and drop it in to her tomorrow. Enjoy yourselves Love from Mum, Dad, Bod and Dylan
