Kabiitha
The serenity of this divine place speaks with light. At sharp 7am on the 7th day of the week and the 7th day of the month of May 2011 I crossed a river to the Kabilitha Devale. Whether by coincidence—I am not sure! But sounds uncanny! I only realised it later in the day when I had a quiet moment to contemplate on the distressing journey of the last two days. We were to embark on this trip on the 30th and despite all my efforts to make it happen on that day, disappointment awaited us when I was informed that the water levels of the various places we had to cross was over six feet. There was no way that our Jeeps would take that level of water and current without getting washed down that river. Manju called and asked me to cancel the trip. I refused. I intended to make that trip even if I had to crawl all the way and when I made Manju know of this determination he responded. “OK! Then we will leave the Jeeps and walk the rest of the twenty kilometres from where it was not possible to cross,” he said. So the trip was rescheduled to the 4th of May. There

Celestial harmony was also another imminent threat that was to spoil our plans. My Jeep that was in the Garage after the previous trips had not been tended to re: the alterations I had requested in preparation for the Kabilitha pilgrimage. One axel looked insecurely mended by the previous owner and was simply not a risk that was to be taken in the thick jungle. The garage man said that there are no parts for this type of Jeep and so we would have to change the whole differential system to a Japanese model. So the Jeep was by no means ready by the 30th.
A friend also did mention that I should concentrate on the purification process more seriously. With reference to my previous post about the young blond that was the obvious choice had been inconsistent with my deep intentions of purifying myself for the trip.
Stop thinking such vulgar thoughts and instead think that there is a good chance of you eaten up by a huge crocodile. That will help your concentration... was the warning. I took this advice graciously.
So the blond didn’t make it. Another friend mentioned that I should not post Kabilitha on my

Our first night camping site. blog. It is by publicising that people flock to see these places and spoil its vestal nature. This place is a very special and spiritual place. If one is to make such a trip it is advisable to adhere to the spiritual laws that govern its intrinsic and ancient energy. We have no right to stop people from making the attempt. But we have a right to advise that people should respect the requirements. Therefore I ask you to follow the purification process before making such a trip. Please do not let your egos get the better of you and think there is another way. The after effects can be detrimental and you wouldn’t even know why such misfortune hit your life subsequent to such a trip. So I say, why not please the Gods if you wish to visit a God dwelling place? It makes sense. Just as we don’t go to church with a can of beer in our hand, so we should not let our ignorance take up the challenge to break such cosmic laws. I have heard stories of people attempting this trip rashly, and the consequences thereof. More importantly, I have firsthand evidence of what I experienced by following the purification process and reaching the devale which I will tell you in my next chapter. The film clip I have attached is a walk up to the large Syambala tree which is a dwelling place for the Goddess Pathini, (Hindu Goddess). All I am willing to say to you is that there is definitely some power dwelling in that place that isn’t easily explainable.
