After an 8 hour flight, we arrived at Singapore Changi airport at 5.45 in the morning local time. We were transferred to the Park Hotel by minibus. The humidity on the weather report was at 100% (we thought if it was this high, surely it meant rain!) and it was certainly hot. I picked up a stomach bug somewhere en route from Oz, which luckily only kicked in on arrival at the hotel, whilst we waited for our room to become available. Luckily we had early check in so whilst I suffered, Tim made use of the hotel pool and explored the local area of Clarke Quay, where we were based on his own! He sussed out bus and underground routes for our activities tomorrow. I spent the next 22 hours in bed!
