Crocodile Attacks Singapore
So we have had 4 days in Singapore and what a difference!!!

After I (H) got over the 24 hour bus journey (which was more than a little bumpy - thank god for a good bra!!) we explored a little and couldn't get over how clean everywhere was. Even the underground was immaculate.

We used the underground quite a bit as it was really cheap and very efficient. Also a nice break from walking in the heat. We stayed at a youth hostel called The Inn Crowd. It was really nice with very friendly and helpful staff. It was my (H) first experience of sleeping in a dorm. I have to say it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but why do men have the inability to shut the toilet door!! The last thing I need to see with a bad hangover is a man having a wee!

Our first trip was to Sentosa. Its a little island to the south of Singapore which is basically a theme park. We got there by cable car and then we went to the sealife centre which was very small. We also went up the skytower and went on a

simulator thing which was pretty cool. We then tooke the cable car back to Singapore and up the "mountain". Not sure it would be classed as a mountain in the UK but it gave great views of Singapore as the sun set.

The following day we decided to head for the shops. We asked the best place to go and were pointed at Orchard Road. So we headed there expecting a road lined with shops. Instead we found a road lined with shopping malls, each several storeys high and at least a dozen shops. You gould quite easily spend 2 weeks shopping. I(H) think John was glad I was feeling a little under the weather so he didn't get dragged round all the shops.

Still feeling a little ill John headed off on his own the last day and saw the famous Raffles hotel.

Our time in Singapore at an end we headed for the airport and our next destination - Australia.
