Steamy Singapore

Hi everyone

Well the trip started in very inauspiciously- Cleo ran away just before we left for the airport. Given that there are two new dogs living next door, one of whom kills cats (!) this was very worrying. Luckily she came home to greet Sophie who is looking after her.

We're staying at a place near Bugis Street and the whole area has been redeveloped and is no longer sleazy. Unfortunately our hotel hasn't moved with the times and we had a 3 hour wait to get into our room. After a night on the plane staring at a 7 inch TV screen we were VERY pleased to get a bed.

It's currently raining and the humidity seems to have dropped with the onset of the rain!!! We've spent some time walking around today and you'll be pleased to know you can still buy a cheap watch in Singapore!!

We're off to dinner now and there are many choices. Seeing as we're in Singapore, I'd like to have Laksa.
