GARDENS AT MARINA BAY
The amazing sky walk between the "trees" MONDAY 27.5.2013 - FRIDAY 31.5.2013
Have been having an amazing time, the steakhouse dinner Sunday night was sensational - just what the doctor ordered. Monday/Tuesday sailed through the Flores Islands east of Bali, so many islands along that route - weather has been a little overcast but the last two very sunny, hot and humid. Tuesday night passed the northern side of Bali and then Wednesday between Sumatra and Borneo - lots of little fishing boats along the way. They have had the big fire hoses all rigged up on the edge of the ship ready for any pirates!! but they rarely go for these huge ships as its too difficult to get onboard. Our third officer gave a very informative and interesting lecture on the goings on of the ship, he has sailed a lot and has never had an issue with pirates but said they follow the designated route that is patrolled so there is less chance of running into any. Tried to learn Bridge but the lessons were too far in for us to join, so the new class starts in New York so will join that one. Thanks everyone for your lovely messages we look forward
PILOT BOAT
OFF BOOBY ISLAND to reading those and thinking of you all at times??!! Had the passing over the Equator party yesterday afternoon, lots of hilarity and fun on the pool deck - even received a certificate to say we had made it over the Equator. We docked in Singapore this morning at 6.30a.m. - very pretty coming into Singapore Harbour at daylight with all the boat lights shining brightly on the water - being the busiest port in the world there were loads of ships and boats. It is 34 degrees here and very, very humid. We have spent the day at the Marina Bay area - in the gorgeous gardens by the bay and also the hotel and shopping complex - this is an amazing area that we had not been to before. Ships sails 5.00p.m. overnight to KL, Port Kelang.
