So, this is my first attempt at doing anything like this and I expect there to be problems. For example, spelling and gramer issues, run-on sentences and definitly made up words. Essentially, if you are an English major don't bother reading this or you will go crazy.
The best place to start is the begining and for me that meant DC. I wasn't feeling very well and was convinced that I was going to be sick and not allowed to fly. However, I managed to fake well and get through security (the longest line of my life up to that point). After a short wait I boarded my first flight which went to Seattle. Just before I left it started to snow...haha I got out just in time. The flight lasted 5 hours but it felt really short. So far things were going easy.
That didn't last long. My next flight was from Seattle to Tokyo. This flight was suppose to last 10 hours, and of course it didn't leave out of the same terminal. It left out of a terminal that was only accessible by train. Just as I arrived at the train an announcement was made that there were technical difficulties and it would be a while before it was running agian. Slowly the minutes ticked away but still it wasn't working. Luckily it did and I was able to board the plane on time (that was officially the longest line of my life ...well I thought so). The plane was awesome and I passed the time by watching movies, reading, and sleeping. I was thinking that everything was going easy but about 2 hours in the plane hit a bump and my full cup of water went all over me and splashed my sleeping neighbor. I felt aweful and for the next 6 hours was damp. I consoled myself by indulging in bollywood and Japanese films. I found myself watching my nighbors movies instead though. Eventually, after what felt like two days and 8 meals later we landed in Tokyo. Then we went through another security search and were sent to wait in yet a longer line for the next plane. This ride seemed to take the longest and by the time it was over I wanted to kiss the ground.
The next thing I had to do was find others. This turned out to be pretty easy and we ended up laughing about how we had been on the same plane since Seattle. After getting my bag and passing though customs We went out to find our ride. It was cool to have someone with a sign waiting for me. I felt very important lol. The driver ushered us to a van that on the inside was lit up and blasting American R&B and pop music. The ride was quick and the sights funny. The first thing I noticed was how glad I was to be in a dress since the humidity was crazy. I love this weather; to all of you in Virginia and Wisconsin winter Hahahahaha!!! The other thing I noticed was the fact that we were driving on the wrong side of the road. WEIRD...
Well we arrived and ended our travels at what they tell me was a hostel. (secretly I don't believe them) It is more like a hotel. There are private rooms with private bathrooms, a roof top terrace with a wadeing pool, and a vegout station. Obviously I should be exhausted but chose to do this instead ...
LOTS OF LOVE
