Yellow!

We have arived in Subic Bay and enjoyed a fleeting moment of being on holiday late yesterday afternoon, but Matt didn't last and the fever returned with a vengence. In the middle of the night things got bad enough to warrent a trip to the medical centre. There were no taxi's available at that time so the manager of our hotel kindly drove us down there and we now have a diagnosis of Tonsilitus. At least we now don't have to worry that it is malaria or dengue fever or goodness knows what, but nervertheless is not good. The drugs we had been using are the right ones but apparently Amoxycillin wouldn't have touched the sides and we are now in possesion of something suitably stronger and it should be only a few days until he is back to health again, so all is not lost.

We had more success on the job front yesterday when we visited another company for Matt, this job is with One Zone, the company we met with in London. The salary is lower but it is less stress, fewer hours and will mean we are close to J and GG and people we know at One Zone, we are both in agreement this feels like the better option for us. The accomodation on offer is really nice, and the area is the Manila version of Canary Wharf. We will have plenty of room for lots of guests and I will be able to take all the time off when people visit.

Subic Bay is nice, a cute little boy on a boat approached us with a whole array of big gorgeous shells, there are loads of amazing shells to buy here. I am curbing my shell buying though, as there is too much luggage already by the time we have bought all the wedding outfits and paraphanalia. I am finding it a bit hard not to turn my nose up at the ugly fat western men with pretty young girls, its something I'll have to get used to as everyone has a Filipino girlfriend, and I have only met one white girl living and working in manila so far!

Matt will be online with photos soon (the few that we have) so you'll be able to see lil Liam!

Thanks for your messages Is and Gem

Hey there, fingers crossed big bro is feeling better now so he can enjoy the rest of his time out there. big hugs better. Vic - it brings back so many memories of my time out there and I am so glad you have had the opportuntiy to see Liam, he looks so much older and so much like James. Going to put some pics up in my house, I like the one of all three of them. Can you give them all big hugs from me. I got an e-mail from J this morning saying he has had some quality time with Liam which is good. As much as Matt has been ill, all in all it sounds like you have both been successful on the job front.
