After Cambodia, we caught a flight down to Kuala Lumpur. Our original plan was to spend a week or two going up through the Malay Penisular to Penang and then on to Langkawi. We changed our minds. After three and a half months of constantly being on the move, we felt it was time to do a bit of shopping, then hit the beach. We had a couple of days in KL (as we can call it now we've been there!) and bought 30 DVDs for 38 quid. Genuine article, honest guv. The Watson DVD library will be open for business in early April.

We went up the Petronas Twin Towers which were the tallest buildings in the world until a couple of years ago (subsidence?). You can only go as far as the Sky bridge on the 42nd floor, but the view is still incredible. Some yummy food (Cod Fish Head extravaganza aside), and then back to the airport. We're now huge fans of Air Asia, the Ryanair of SE Asia. Six flights in and out of various countries - for a total of 150 pounds. What a bargain. And as you can see from the photo, the Air Asia clientele are something else. So up to Langkawi we go.

Our favourite beach from our last trip is on the lovely island of Langkawi, so we thought it would be churlish not to revisit it on our honeymoon. A lovely week of sun, sea, & sand... Deciding where to eat in the evening was the most difficult part of the day.

We'd love to stay on it, but it's only got a big posh hotel and no cheapie beach bungalows!

Loving it
Hello Nige, Hello Jane, Your honeymoon blogs have been great. I've been choked with envy quite a few times and am living vicariously through your travels while dealing with sleepless nights and juggling two kids (I don't know how your mum managed four kids Nige - she must have been a super-mum). What an amazing honeymoon you're having. When do you get back? Or is that question in poor taste? We're going to be in England from 25May - 8June. Are you back by then? In the meantime, keep those blogs coming. And did I say - you two make a smashing couple. I know you're both going to be really happy together. Much love, Nicola xxx

Couldn't possibly do the Cod Head Extravaganza at 'Minging Palace' (oops, I mean Ming Palace Chinese Restaurant - I think the first name would be better!!). Great Sunsets - we have one too this evening - overlooking Piccadilly Circus - oh no, that's the Coke Advert on the bright lights advertising hoarding. Well, we can dream. Keep Enjoying....
