Early Days

First day of training. Met the other teachers, ate unpalatably spicy food. Alwyn took us shopping at the local “Giant” and told us that the school was paying, resulting in a mad scramble that wouldn’t have looked out of place on Supermarket Sweep. Looked at the magnificent view out of my window, but found the concept of that vast, alien place so daunting that I had to draw my curtains again and hide in bed.
