This is basically short and sweet as we didnt spend hardly anytime anywhere else!
Had a horrifc bus journey to Kuala Lumpur after full moon. took 20 hours and we had to change vehicles 7 times in that time and most of the trip was down in barely working minivans! Got to KL and did a little exploring round the city, saw the skylines from the towers, rode the sky train, saw little inda ands china town and were very suprised at how festive it was!

next we swung by singapore on way to airport and had our first taste of dorms! Ahd a lovely meal for my brithday, but a quiet one as it was pretty expensive there and we´d burned a lot of cash in thailand! Did a little explore and saw Raffles hotel before catching tube to airport and setting off for Christchurch in New Zealand. Arrived and were pleasantly suprised that we´d accidently booked ourselves into the penthouse dormitory! A little extra treat for Xmas! had a week there, but spent most of the time being disapointed that our skydive booking kept getting delayed/put back a day due to wind. By the time we hit Xmas

day we were getting very dispondent that we were never going to do it, and unfortunately we didnt. Weather just wasnt on our side! It was riaing when we first got there, and although there was some nice sun at times (laura got sunburnt on 23rd dec!) there was always a strong wind around. And becasue we kept waiting around for the skydive, we unforntuanelly put everything else off and didnt get to see a whole lot in Christchurch or around! We had a nice few days in the square and local parks, and catching up with ourselves and family on the internet and Skype, but it was a bit disapointing in the end to come away and say we´ve not seen hardly anything at all! We did however have a nice Xmas, got cooked a nice dinner by our dutch roomate and had some good celebrations on Xmas eve. We also went out for boxing day tea, and found ourselves sitting out in the street cafes in the evenign sun at 9pm without cardies on! Very random boxing day dinner!
