Sanantone's last evening in Kuala Lumpur

Because we had an early morning flight from Kl we moved from Chinatown to a bed & breakfast accomodation only 20 minutes from LCCT. Its a beautiful mansion whose owners realised the potential of having a B&B quite close to the airport which is a good hours drive from the centre of KL depending on traffic. The house is filled with beautiful furniture so I would be wary of bringing small children, though the 2 youngsters who were there at the same time we were behaved beautifully & were very appreciative of the lovely swimming pool & relaxing surrounds. Our room had twin beds that were very comfy & the room had air conditioning & fans. The ensuite was lovely with a shower over a nice size bath which was supplied with toiliteries. For us the only downside was no fridge but Walter, the owner stored my husbands insulin in the kitchen fridge. The TV room was in the lounge & had many channels & upstairs was a dvd player & we were offered a good assortment of dvds to watch. After battling the chaos of central KL for 4 days we were glad to relax & unwind at Jawadene, which means "relax"Walter normally cooks

dinner but as he was feeling unwell told the guests about a nearby restaurant, though he was gracious enough to drive the 4 "retired guests" down to it. The otheres walked down, it was'nt far & we all walked back together. There was a another 4 people who were on the same flight out as us so we got to know them, the couple with young children had flown in from Australia & were on their way to Phukett & another couple had flown in from UK & were en route to Kota Kinabalu. The restaurant was one we normally would'nt have eaten at but we all agreed there was no choice & were confident Walter would'nt have sent us to a bad place. The food was really good, not sure what some of it was but the young man who cooked it on an open griddle assured us it was not too spicy & we all enjoyed it & more importantly had no after effects as 6 of us were on a 13 hour flight to UK next morning. Breakfast was very nice, scrambled eggs, toast & marmalade, fresh fruit & tea or coffee. walter had arranged a van to

take the 6 of us to the airport which cost 34 ringitts for the 2 of us. It cost us 125 ringitts from Chinatown to Jawadene in a cab & had cost 4 of us 198 ringitts from the airport to Chinatown at the beginning of our trip so the fare was quite good. The flight from KL to London Stansted was very good, we arrived 40 minutes early in UK & immigration at Stansted could teach immigration at LCCT a few lessons in efficiency. So far weather in UK has been kind to us.
