Well, a bit disappointing! Intending to enjoy real and remotely quiet, crystal clear island, uniquely resort - Gayana Eco Resort, ya to some extent yes, but looking at the price we paid for it (USD 360 a night) - I'd say, there is still a lot to improve though the staffs are working hard to show a difference. The entire atmosphere, details and environment - more or less a 4 stars standard. There are lot of flooding rubbish at high tide, the shadow beach is not as crystal clear as we expected may be it is just too close to the city (where it is not really well maintained and developed, pitiful!); disappointing numbers of tropical fishes and corals we dream to watch. Overall, the sense of exclusivity, private, unique are missing at the asked price. Worth to mention, the MERC Marine aquarium center at the site is well structured and maintained - that probably the only activities remain special in our memory for the stays in Gayana.
