What a last night in the jungle... on top of all the usual creepy crawly noises we heard terrential rain and thunderstorms iwhich shook our cabin. to top things off and which really freaked me out, around 3am i heard loud thuds in our room followed by crunching of wrappers! i didnt have the guts to put the light on and check it out so woke up this morning after only 2 hours sleep to find that the cookie pack we left on the bed last night had been moved and was in the same postion but under the bed!! i dread to think what on earth was in our room last night but glad to have got through it!

anyway this mornign was an early rise and before getting the afternoon bus back to Kota Kinabulu we decided we had not seen enough monkeys in borneo! our cabbie took us to Labuk Bay Sanctuary where we had the delight of seeing Probiscus monkeys (which is the only place in the world they can be seen) and even with their wierd looking noses they were much cuter than we expected!! we watched a morning feeding which was great and then headed to the second platform to watch the feeding for silver leaf monkeys. they were cheeky little things and were running all around us but they were adorable! i fed them a green bean which they loved 😊

getting the bus this afternoon- after the staff in our jungle resort said we may not get seats on the bus because of the xmas period we waited for it anyway, luckily when the bus pulled up there were only 2 seats left! PHEW! Out of all the buses we have been on in asia i think its safe to say that this is the worst one we have been on so far! most of the 6 hour journey went by with the crazy bus driver riding way too fast on the mountains! it was a bendy ride and poor mel was sick most of the way 😞

we have finally made it to our hostel though, a different one to the last but still a decent one! had some takeaway and its now time to crash...last day tomorrow, and if we both feel well enough (after mels sickness and my lack of sleep) we will do a trek around mount kinabulu! cant believe its time for bali in two days!

Asia has been conquered and what a great trip it has been!
