Around the World We fancied escaping the city for the day and had read about this "Asian Venice" - so got a bus up to Menkabong! check out the photos...

After a look around we hitched to the nearest Town and get a bus to the beach. Decided to head to a Karumbunai Beach that was suppose to be nearby...well it wasnt and ended up have major communication breakdown with taxi driver. well we ended up in a beautiful 5 star resort, had lunch there which was Pizza for me and Steak Sandwich for J. You dont know how good it was to eat some "western food". Noodles and Rice get a bit monotonus...plus I miss my pasta and pizza!

This place has been nicknamed the Asian Venice. Well Ive never been to Venice but Im sure its a bit different to this.

We arrived at Midday and it was pretty hot!

Walkway
You had to be very careful where you walked as some bits were a bit dodgy!

Karrambunai Beach
We went into the Nexus resort which was lovely. Read and lazed about on the beach in the sun was bliss!
