Melaka!

Hi again everyone!

Well we're in Melaka! We've been here for the past 3 days and this is our last night. Its a really pretty little town with lots of hidden cafes and art gallerys etc. A bit like a tropical Cornwall!! There's not that much to do around here but we've both enjoyed just chilling out a bit and getting properly used to the heat.

We met a group of English people a couple of nights ago who are over here working in Hospitals for 6 months. They were really nice guys and it turns out that we had quite a mad night out with them all 😊
Met them in Geographers Cafe where the legendary *Mr Burns* was playing (an eccentric little Malay man) who was belting out classics such as 'Footloose' and Ronan Keating (In an Irish accent?!?!) That along with the very very weird little Trishaws that are covered in tacky yellow and red flowers and booming out rave music give this place a somewhat tacky Benidorm or Magaluf feel sometimes hahah.
We then all went to a bar in the town and watched this amazing cover band playing metallica songs etc. They seriously sounded exactly like the bands they were covering!! It was awesome! (And ofcourse thinking of Matty that day. One year. Was weird what songs that band played and that they had a Jack Daniels drum kit!!! xxx) The Malaysian people all seem so friendly. There doesn't seem to be any people politics like you get in Banbury! A refreshing change...

We both had our first bout of the old Asia tummy in the last couple of days so had to lay low for a bit and i've felt a bit homesick but hopefully thats our bad luck out of the way for this trip!!! Melakas crap for food so we've been living on peanut butter and crisp sandwiches (YUMMY!) but we managed to find a lovely little cafe called Coconut House that sold Pasta!!!

Anyway im boring myself now so you lot must be falling asleep so im gonna go now...

We're travelling up to the Cameron Highlands tommorow on a bus and are looking forward to the cool weather, Olde English pubs and cream teas!! HAHA

Gonna upload some more photos now... But unfortunately Nicks little camera has randomly stopped working so we cant upload the best pics and the videos of Mr Burns untill we find a place with a memory card reader

Pesky Tesco's
Grumble mumble bloody Tesco's I tell you they are after world domination! Mumble grumble, boycott em blow em up with WKD blue you would need a whole lorry though as they are puny on the alcohol side! and only suitable for under 16s hahaha . We had the budget yesterday and they are adding 4 pence to a pint of beer, 3 pence to a litre of cider, 14 pence to a bottle of wine and 55 pence to a bottle of spirits. This is the first increase in duty on spirits since 1998, BASTARDS!! 14p per bottle of wine!! harrumph I ask you how many kids do you see hanging round street corners drinking a nice full bodied rioja with hints of tannin and blackberries?? You see how lucky you funky monkeys are? Missing you loads and have a cheap pint for me. LOVE ya PX

I simply cannot believe it!! The ripping bastards!!! We will have to start our own homemade vodka factory hahaha. Along with ofcourse the Cat Mammorys. Now THAT was an idea... We were sat in a bar the other night and we said about how funny it would be if you and Pete came out and we went on a malaysian mad one :D hahaha!!! HUZZAHHH!
