Well well, Malaysia. What the balls is going on, I have no idea, but it's really cool. If you've been to Asia you have an idea what I'm talking about, but if not then no amount of writing can properly explain it. I'll try anyway.... Read Full Entry

Awesome!
Looks like you're living it up! And making the rounds! I'm so jealous. Oh, not sure if you know about it, but theres this thing called Hospitality Club (www.hospitalityclub.org) its kinda like couch surfing. You can contact people all over the world and try to either stay with them at their home or just have them hang out with you in their city. Its really cool and I had an amazing guy stay with me from Malaysia last week. Check it out if youre interested--good way to get an 'in' for a city...

At Long Last
I love how you only post once a month - I invent stories in my head about what the hell you're doing, then see what you post and compare. Invariably, the 2 stories are different because either you are not getting arrested or are just not including the jail time in your blog...Keep on rambling - i love the pics...

Kelantanese
U are lucky to have food in Kelantan. Some Malaysians in Kuala Lumpur would pay a lot for Kelantanse food which are hard to find and difficult to prepare. The picture with the hawker selling those long sausages are actually fish sausages..very healthy. The common food you'd seen in KB would have been Nasi Kerabu(colorful rice with spiced chicken, fish and vegetables). The things in the skewer are called Yong Tau Fu, a Chinese dish but very popular in SEA, the hawker only boils them in oordinary hot water..not some mysterious liquid. Kelantanese food are mostly fish and chicken and the ingredients are usually of spices and lots of coconut. So nothing strange about Kelantanese food actually. I hope u'll try the dishes in other Malaysian states each state have their own local dishes .

Hey there. I love the pictures, true paradise. Take a monkey home for me, they are so cute. I always said I wanted to adopt a monkey instead of having kids.... You got dark. Tell Alan I love his farmer tan showering in the rain. Be safe. Oh and we are planning a lu-au that you're missing. We haven't had one in 3 years but we're back to planning them.
