I know, it's been such a long time!

The pictures from my trip to Laos have been ready and uploaded before I left Thailand for the Philippines, two weeks ago, but I've had no time (and mostly no internet at all...) to tell you how amazing this country is.
Let me at least show you the pictures, and the stories will have to wait!

You'll see, most of them are pretty obvious: you don't need the whole story...
To recapitulate quickly, let me just say that I discovered Laos with my best friend, Ann-Marie.

Our itinerary:
From Bangkok to the border in the south, and then to Pakse. From Pakse, going to the 4 Thousand Islands, we went through the longest journey ever with 3 flat tires... ending up on the wrong island!

Don Det is an amazing island with only 4h of electricity every day... You leave all your stress and frustrations before you get on the boat to get there!

From the south, back to Pakse to discover the Bolaven Plateau. Next destination: Vientiane. I heard so many bad comments about this place... I loved it and would have stayed longer!

Then, we started the ascension... Vang Vieng and the kayak experience, Luang Prabang and the 300 steps to get to visit Phousi... a quick stop in Oudom Xai and our last days in Luang Nam Tha, where we really enjoyed the incredible scenery.

So much to say... Too short, that trip! So many memories and unforgettable people that marked the journey and made the moments unforgettable! Moments shared with a truly loved friend that I've known for almost 15 years... we definitly don't have to talk to understand each other...
Another place in the world where I would go back in a heartbeat!

Hi Sweetie,
I'm sorry I've been so out of touch...so much going on around here but only one more week of French school left! I'm happy but yet sad since I love our teacher and the class has been so much fun. Oh well...school will start agin in only two months!!!! So anyway my sweet girl, it's so good to see you and Anna (what a beautiful girl she is!) having such a good time. I miss you so much it made my heart warm to see your pictures. Even if you don't have the time to send much dialogue it's wonderful to get your pictures! Thanks for sharing your trip...keep enjoying yourselves and stay safe. P.S....have to tell you when you said you were traveling with three flat tires...I thought you had three flat tires at one time but then the pictures explained you got three flat tires in one trip! What a visual of thinking you were on a bus with only one good tire!!!!
